Counseling for Teens

Therapy for Teens

Are you struggling to help your teenage child stay motivated and engaged?

Does your teen struggle with a lack of energy and motivation? Have they withdrawn from their friends? Have they quit their favorite activities? Have their grades fallen? Do they stay in their room instead of enjoying the activities they used to love? Is it a monumental task to simply get them out of bed, let alone reach their potential in academics and life?

We’re here to tell you that there is hope. With the right tools, your teen has the power to overcome depression and get back on track.

How Can Therapy Help?

Individual therapy helps your teen understand their depression and offers methods to counteract and mitigate the symptoms they feel. Once they’ve learned these basic techniques, the therapist can progress to helping the teen explore the root causes of their depression and then identify and break the habits that cause suffering.

Ultimately, the long-term goal is to empower your teen to manage depression symptoms, in essence becoming their own therapist. With this power, they’ll have more energy, focus, and motivation to seek scholastic achievement, make friends, and enjoy their high school years.
