Therapy & Services for Immigrants
Has the stress of moving to the US taken a toll on your mental health?
Immigrating to the US has never been easy, but it’s arguably more nerve-racking and frightening to be an immigrant now than at any time in recent history.
As an immigrant, do you live in a state of constant fear and anxiety? Did you also experience trauma or loss in the country you left behind? Do you feel depressed, hopeless, and overwhelmed? Do you find it increasingly difficult to cope, let alone focus on the difficult task of building a new life for you and your family?
As a mental health practice founded by an immigrant who understands your struggles on a personal level, we have the knowledge and experience to provide meaningful help.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy helps you understand your depression and offers methods to counteract and mitigate the symptoms you feel. Once you’ve learned these basic techniques, you and your therapist can progress to exploring the root causes of your depression and then identifying and breaking the habits that cause suffering in your day-to-day life.
Ultimately, the long-term goal is to empower you to manage your own depression symptoms, in essence becoming your own therapist. With this power, you’ll have more energy, focus, and motivation to successfully integrate into your new country.
